With the beautiful tropical atmosphere of Fuerteventura, you’ll never run out of things to do on your visit. Of course, the island is most famous for its rambling beaches, and much of your holiday will probably revolve around things on or near the beach. Between beach lounging, swimming, and participation in various water sports, you’ll hardly need to leave the coast. But if you’re in need of a break from the sun, there are plenty of attractions out of reach of the Atlantic Ocean. Shopping in Fuerteventura, for instance, offers plenty to keep an international traveler enthused for hours on end. No matter where you go, you’ll find streets and entire villages steeped with shops.

Going along with the tropical island theme, many of the shops on Fuerteventura specialize in surf and beach wear. If you forget to pack bathing suits, sunglasses, or sandals in your luggage, you won’t have to look very far before you find a surf shop with products that reflect the spirit and culture of the island. You’ll also find plenty of shops carrying handmade Spanish art, house wares, and gifts. One of the most rewarding aspects of a holiday can be the souvenirs that you bring home that will forever leave you with fond memories of your time spent traveling. Fuerteventura boasts great shops filled with rare and quality treasures.

Though you can find shops just about anywhere on the island, the larger cities and resort centers are literally full of them. In Corralejo, your best bet might be the shopping center called El Campanario. The Spanish architecture reminds you that you’re shopping in Fuerteventura, and most of the shops carry gifts and clothing that represent the Spanish influence on the island. Near Caleta de Fuste is the Atlantico Centre, which is the largest concentration of shops on the island. Here you can find no shortage of clothes, shoes, and toys, and there is a nearby cinema and water park for when you finish shopping. Wherever you decide to spend your hard earned money, you’ll find things that will remind you of your holiday for years to come.
